Working on a total rewrite of the med trackers...wanted to track progress and ideas here, but forgot. So, here goes!

The goal is to survive reboots, which the current system does not. Will probably use some combination of template sensors and input datetimes to say "we have passed the time that these meds need to be taken, and they are not currently marked. Therefore, send a periodic reminder until they are taken". And update reminder counters accordingly.

This will likely also involve reworking how the resets work, but that will depend on what I end up with for the first part.
